Jerry is a bit late drawing tonights lineup out of his hat.

MY GOD WILL WE EVER SEE THE END OF CONINE AS THE CLEAN-UP HITTER???

Good thing he's 54 and not 24 or he'd prolly be in AAA right now.

I do not want to see Conine batting clean up.

Who else would you have batting clean up? Dunn? Hamilton? Me too, but they are also lefties and you all know what Narron thinks of batting lefties back-to-back. So for the available righties remaining, it's between Conine, Phillips, Moeller, or Gonzalez. Seeing how Moeller and Gonzalez can't hit, and Phillips is better served in the top of the order thanks to his speed and 17 game hitting streak, Conine is okay. You want a clean up hitter? Then tell Krivsky to get one, because we don't have one. At least Narron is trying to mix it up instead of letting the same miserable hitless lineup go out there every time. He's trying to win.

Reds cleanup hitters on the season are hitting .233/.331/.397, which is good for a .728 OPS. Meanwhile, Reds first sackers are hitting .257/.331/.399, and that's good for a .730 OPS.

    Them boys sure are rakin'.

    Haha thanks Cyclone.

Would you have gone with Votto from ST on out and just let him take his lumps and get his big league progression underway?

I think I would have. Especially over the detritus we're wasting those ABs on.

Nah, I'd have had Votto start the year in AAA. I would like to see Votto get his isolated power up in AAA a bit too before calling him up. Perhaps a midseason callup, say late July or so, depending on how well he's performing down there, of course.

I'd be shocked if the Reds called him up before then anyway.

I guess I'll say it again....Conine actually has better numbers against righties this year, and Hatteberg against lefties...

Not sure what their numbers are against Wells
