The Moon Landing isn't listed?

Not sure if I shared this here or not- I had an astronomy professor once at USF, who worked on the moon landing. Had a Phd in physics, or something like that, from Yale- brilliant lady. She claimed to be one of only a handful of people who could work with an equation to literally put the lander on the moon. The Moon Landing isn't listed?
So one day this kid in class thinks it would be a great idea to ask her if the moon landing was fake.
I mean- I'm not sure if he realized he was questioning this lady's crowning achievement in her life or not, but she proceeded to tell him off in what was one of the most entertaining rants I've ever heard.
She rattled off the proof in her favor- main point being, IIRC, she challenged anyone to recreate the moon rocks returned to earth. The textrue of the rock is like nothing here on this planet.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
On either the History or Discover Channel they had an moon landing conspiracy debate taking in account of both sides. But at the end of the program, Aldrin had a pretty good proof that the moon landing was real and it concerned the Soviets. IIRC, other independent sources were tracking the Apollo lunar landing, mostly radio signals. IF they could do that then the Soviets could as well. There was still the cold war and if the landing was a hoax, the USSR would have been all over it but they didn't say a word. She rattled off the proof in her favor- main point being, IIRC, she challenged anyone to recreate the moon rocks returned to earth. The textrue of the rock is like nothing here on this planet.

No mention of Piltdown Man?

^ I was thinking about that too, ORH. That was a pretty well known fraud, especially considering scientists were genuinely fooled by it and it was actually in science books and such as FACT for like 40-something years.
Piltdown Man and Ernst Haeckel's fraudulent embyonic drawings are the first ones that come to mind mainly due to the length of time before the hoaxes were discovered.
I was thinking the fake Howard Hughes biography would be one of them, but it doesn't hold a candle to some of these. That was a pretty cool read. Thank you, Chip R.
Actually it seemed like a pretty weak list. Was there anything in it that happened within the past 100 years?
