Rory is sitting at -3 going to the 17th green. He obviously won't contend for the title this week but it was a nice bounce back round today. Hopefully he starts playing more consistent as he only makes the tour better.

Tiger was just stupid good today. First two rounds of this tourney as good as he's ever looked.

Hide the women and children, Tiger is on the prowl again. Four-under early on and a three-stroke lead at -17. Phil is five back. Rory muddled through another lackluster round. Nothing can stop Woods now, except maybe a Nordegren nine iron.

My goodness, this Tiger is pretty much unbeatable. He's on a sick tear right now. His putts aren't just falling, they're hitting the center of the hole every time. When he makes putts like this, it's just a matter of how big the margin will be.

I read somewhere that Steve Stricker gave Tiger Woods a putting tip. He may be regretting that right about now.

    Nah, that's what golfers do.

Any chance Tiger doesn't win today?

I love seeing Tiger back in from like this, but I hope it doesn't get like it has been in the past where he makes Sundays boring to watch. As it stands now, unless someone comes out and plays the round of their life, it will take Tiger blowing up to have any drama today.

Adam Scott shoots a 64 and Rory McIlroy a 65 early on. At the turn Tiger is five up on Phil. Isn't Doral Woods' home course?

I still don't think it is fair that Adam Scott is such an awesome actor and golfer. Very frustrating.

Tiger hangs on for a two-stroke victory over Steve Stricker. Phil finishes five back in a tie for third.

You know what, he did hang on. That iron shot Tiger hit on 18 was very, very close to being one of the worst he's ever hit. He came within a foot or two of that ball rolling back in the water. Then, he would've had to get it up and down for the win, no small task.

It just goes to show you that it's hard to win on tour. Tiger dominated for 71 holes, then gets a little sloppy on 18 and almost went into a playoff with Stricker. It can change in a heartbeat out there.

Good to see Tiger winning again. I'd love nothing more than to see him win multiple majors this year and watch all the self rightous "holier than thou" media types that buried him flip flop like fish out of water.

When he was dominating back in his day, I never pulled for him. Not because I didn't like him, just b/c it was too easy. Rick Reilly worded it perfectly when he said "rooting for Tiger is like rooting for erosion".

On another subject and one related to the thread in ORG that went from Zach G's elbow, to Griffey's love of Pizza Hut, to HR's analyst skills....Does anyone else find Charlie Rymer from the Golf Channel intolerable? What a clown. If it weren't for Lauren Thompson I wouldn't be able to handle Morning Drive at all. Just shows b/c you have between the ropes knowledge doesn't mean you can do an analysts job well.

For a little Cincinnati flavor, there are two Xavier alums in the field in Tampa this week: Jason Kokrak (who is in his second year as a Tour regular) and Andy Pope (who Monday qualified).

How are pairings determined at a PGA event? Is it luck of the draw or does the tournament set it up whichever way it wants to?
