Chatt up 3-1 in the 7th

    Stubbs- 1-2, 1 double, 1 BB

    Turner- 2-2, 2RBI, 1 BB
    Eymann 1-3

    Viola- 5 innings, 4 hits, 1 ER, 4 BB's 4 K's

I am really liking what I am seeing from Viola in the starter's role, needs to be stretched out, but could be a solid back of the rotation lefty

Also I am starting to get excited with Stubbs, continuing to hit. Seems to be staying at a higher level for a longer time, he even seemed to be heading down the same road a week or two ago when he was slumping after a hot start at AA, but instead of staying around a mediocre mark, he has come right back

    Notable performances from Sarasota:

    Ondrusek: 5 IP, 2 hit, 3 K
    Y. Rodriguez: 2-3
    Helsey: 1-2, triple
    Francisco:2-4, 19th HR, 3 RBI
    Frazier: 1-4, double, 2 RBI

Logan Parker:2-2, HR, RBI, .333 BA

    Parker's numbers in 81 appearances at Sarasota: .407/.568/ .974

Might be a small sample size, but he seems to be handling a pitcher's league just fine. Start him at AA next year.

I never thought I'd see 'notable performance' and 'Yuber Rodriguez' go together. Anyway, I hope Logan Parker starts 2009 in Sarasota, too. I was really disappointed when he started the year in Dayton. His age says he should be in AA, and it would be nice if Yonder Alonso signed and started in Sarasota, especially if he never plays this year.

Logan only started in Dayton this year because he was coming off of shoulder surgery and got a real late start to the season.

I figured that, but what difference does it make if rehabs in Dayton or Sarasota?
