They seem to be lower than many on RZ on Tony. “Mid-rotation upside”

A couple interesting names I had previously not seen:

    Joel Kuhnel and Danny Lantigua

I find it interesting they still grade his command a 40. It seems like the consensus elsewhere is that his command took a step forward this year. They had him at 40 command last year too.

I think mid-rotation upside is pretty good. A guy who projects as a number 3 starter in scout speak is a guy who would be a likely play-off game starting pitcher. Right now, Luis Castillo is the only guy that good on the 40 man roster.

It is good. There have been comments peppered around here that his ceiling is a #1/ace. I mean you could say that about most decent prospects but I’m very comfortable with a 2/3 upside.

Yeah. I personally have Santillan number 4 in the Reds system on my list and I have hope for him. I just think a year and a half or so in AA/AAA is needed and then another year and a half taking lumps in the 5th starter spot. I think he can be part of a winning rotation around 2022 or so. The Reds need to forget about him as far as the big leagues go for now and pursue established options.

Woof. We all just kind of wanted to assume that he was super elite at SS in an attempt to at least understand the rationale.

That is just scary how bad they messed that one up.

Top ten Reds prospects are as obvious as I've seen in awhile. Not the exact spots, but the ten players.

It just dawned on my that Jeter Downs may be following the Geno Suarez career path, which is a huge compliment. Might get converted earlier than Geno (hope not) but if he keeps hitting they’ll have to make room for him somewhere.

So in two to three years he'll be traded for a washed up 5th starter? Say it isn't so!
