LOL. Yeah, because everything would've played out exactly the way it did. Nah, nothing would've changed had a different pitcher been in there. I'll never get that mindset. It could've just as easily had been WORSE if Hoover came in to start the 8th.

Part of the reason the bullpen is mysteriously worn out all the time, despite our starters going 6 and 7 innings almost every game, is because Dusty WON'T let a guy pitch 2 innings in relief.

Another idiotic Dusty way of thinking. Just plain stupid.
In all seriousness, it's getting really old.

If our hitters wouldn't have gone to sleep after the 4th inning, maybe we wouldn't be having the discussions about the relief pitchers.
We've had 1 hit since the 4th inning.

Jay Bruce, long fly ball to Soriano, one out.

Another poorly thought out post. Just plain... well, nevermind, not even worth it.

    This has been completely misconstrued.

I wanted Hoover, not Ondrusek, in the 8th and 9th.

When the wheels are falling off, Parra is not the guy you want in the game. And Ondrusek should always have a short leash. When he falls apart, he falls apart quickly.

A manager should know these things.

I was responding to a post denying that Hoover was a better choice than Ondrusek.

Based on what Hoover did, he was a better choice.

Obvioulsy, it's not written in stone that he would have done the same thing.

That's a walk, and now we have the winning run at the plate.

I know we've dominated the Cubs and this game won't mean much in the grand scheme, but we sure (urinated) this game away. This one was in the bag.
