Players with two years and 146 days of Major League service time will qualify for Super Two status, MLBTR's Tim Dierkes has learned. This was the same cutoff point that was predicted by CAA in April, and as MLBTR's Ben Nicholson-Smith wrote six months ago, it is "a decidedly late cutoff." In 2010, the cutoff date was two years and 122 days of service, while the 2009 cutoff was two years and 139 days.

Arredondo has an incredibly live arm, there is no doubt about that, but I was just not impressed with him. If I were to be in control of the offers, I would not extend a huge offer.

He made 480k this year, I think I MIGHT offer 750k.

If it's him or Burton, I'm taking him every time. I think he may have been a player that on chance I didn't see struggle when he did, but I always thought he did pretty well. I like his attitude and attacking style.

A million max, but i'd be pushing for less. He's definitely a decent enough reliever, but I wouldn't make him a setup guy.

I agree. If he doesn't like it he can take it up with the arbitrator

I like Arredondo more than most. His walk rate is a bit high, but otherwise I like what he brings to the table and think he can be vital to the bullpen. One million looks about right.

You also need to take into account the fact that Arredondo is not quite two years removed from TJ surgery. As with Volquez, the longer time from surgery will bring improvement.

Fully in agreement. Reds need to sign him.

Arredondo got better as the year wore on. Most Reds relievers got worse.
