The team is about to be loaded with a derth of prospects at 2B, SS, C and 3B.

You have Cozart, Frazier, Mesoraco and Francisco at AAA or the Bigs.

Grandal, Campbell, Puckett, Rodriguez, Rojas and Gregorious at AA,

Fleury and Greene at High A,

Hamilton, Barnhart, Torreyes and Vidal at Low A,

Wright, Arias and Buckley at Billings,

and Rosa, Valor, Gomez, Perez and Dailey at Arizona.

Loaded with exciting young talent. This is turning out to look like a promising draft and the Reds haven't even got Stevenson, Phillips and Garrett's bonuses approved yet.

Carolina drops the second game, 6-4. One step forward, three steps back.

Juan Silva (.338) has two triples tonight. Don't see that often. I didn't even know he was fast.

Billings leads 8-6 after seven. Wright has 5 RBIs.

    Billings held on 8-7. James Allen with a nice save: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K.

Some of the bats on the lower rungs are starting to shine which is very nice.

That's why I've been saying that some of the bats at the top of the system need to be turned in trades to help the big club.

Its time to start filling insome of the starting pitching holes between rookie ball and AAa too.

Looks like he was pinch run for in the first inning. Anyone have any info on this?

Hit by a pitch. Nothing further than that so far.

FYI dearth "means a lack of" I think you were saying the opposite

Yep, he needs a bump up. But then again, I think Torreyes needs to be promoted too. I know he's only been in Dayton a short while, but I think it's blatantly obvious that he's not finding it difficult to hit against single A pitching.

Challenge thy hitters, Coddle thy pitchers.

I agree, Sir Charles. I'd be extremely aggressive with Torreyes.
