I didn't think it was possible to downgrade on the Reds TV crew tonight, but Fox apparently decided to make the point that, oh yes, it most definitely is by switching to Buck/McCarver.

And we're back!
Wait a second-- are they telling us that they could have switched us back sooner, but they were holding until the end of that Red Sox/Yankees inning? Erk.

Just made it here....5 K's in 6 hitters...that doesn't sound promising.
Tonight's throwbacks make us look like the Cincinnati Red Sox.
Runner caught trying to steal at second, two out. And a walk now to Alvarez to put another on base.
thanks norm
Well, that's a bouncer to end the inning, so we're scoreless through two.
St. Louis wins the first game 8-0. It is 0-0 through 3 innings in the second game. Who knew Dave Duncan was such a crappy pitching coach and was actually holding that team back?
Tonight's unis are based on the Cincinnati Tigers from the Negro Leagues, about whom wiki has this interesting note:
"Using Cincinnati Reds hand-me-down uniforms, the Tigers played at Crosley Field, often outdrawing the Reds."
