The percentages say they do still have a chance.

If we win and the Cards win, and the Cards win 5 of the next 10, we'd have to win 7 of 9 to tie them. lets call this a must win.

C'mon Mesoraco hit a home run. Time to do something up there.

I think the Reds saw some slippage with Latos and wanted to give him the extra two days off. That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.
I'm guessing that view might change for some if we win this as we should.

We can afford no more than 2 losses the rest of the way, if we want to win the division. Let's not waste one on the Astros plz.

True. And in his next PA with the bases empty he invented the bunt grand slam. Later that season when Coombs stepped to the plate to lead off the top of the first the ump invoked the slaughter rule and awarded his team the victory.

Reds will need to draft a catcher.

And only needs 5 if wins if we could somehow win tonight. The Reds are unfortunately in one of their frequent late inning funk now.

There are plenty of people who would prefer to never see Parra pitch at any time.

It took how long for people to warm up to Miguel Cairo back in 2010?

Alfredo Simon last year? Even this year....people write how they cannot believe he is coming in or pitching...ever. Like he is never supposed to give up a run. They cannot always pitch in low leverage situations either.

So the solution to a perceived catching problem now is to draft a catcher who could maybe help 4 years later.

Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12
