You really have to question May 31st and Sept 6th? They are holidays, people are off of work to watch the game.
Cubs day games are games that they have traditionally broadcast. I have always felt they did it because for years we could watch the games on WGN and they didn't want us watching WGN so they broadcast also. Either that or, since WGN/CSN broadcast every game, they knew they would have a broadcast of the game to piggy back on.
The SF game in August, I am only guessing because, since it is such a late start, most people would be able to catch at least half of it after work unlike a 12:35 game.
i love me some mlb.tv
One more day of suffering with no television. Today will be the worst because it's a primetime game against the in-state rival. I guess FOX thinks we will enjoy Yankees/Mets better than our hometown teams.
Good question. If they started at 4 PM it could be televised. Since it's at 7, STO is not allowed to show it either.
Maybe someone should tell the Reds so the same thing does not happen in a month when Cleveland visits Cincinnati.
These games today will not be televised anywhere in the USA:
Cincinnati @ Cleveland
Tampa Bay @ Houston
Atlanta @ Pittsburgh
Toronto @ Arizona
The Cardinals, White Sox, Nationals, Royals, and Twins all have figured it out and scheduled games beginning before 4:15 PM ET.
This is by far the dumbest thing Major League baseball has tried in a while. Why would you put a very little meaning game in prime time against the NBA playoffs and expect it to do anything but poor ratings for FOX. I understand the Yankees and the nationwide popularity but it's not like it's an every Saturday happening so the casual fan isn't going to know a national baseball game is on Saturday night. They are just going to be mad because the local team isn't on and will probably watch something else.
It's regional coverage. Most of the country will receive NYM/NYY.
Percentages for 5/22/10 MLB on Fox:
NY Yankees @ NY Mets 54%
Chicago Cubs @ Texas 22%
Detroit @ LA Dodgers 13%
Boston @ Philadelphia 11%

It looks like from the link above that Reds country will get different games.
Cincinnati gets the Cubs/Rangers game. Columbus gets Yankees/Mets. Dayton will see Boston/Philadelphia.
The best game in that whole bunch is the Phillies and the Red Sox
Anyone with XM Satellite radio, they will be on channel 178 tonight. It will be the Indians broadcast though. XM only air's the home broadcast teams.

* Attended the 1990 and 2010 Reds Division clinchers *
Go 76ers, Go Steelers and Go Bucks
Its a joke that 2 ohio teams playing cannot be seen on tv in ohio. I thought the whole point of interleague play was to get attendance a tv ratings up with matchups you dont usually see.
Well MLB and FOX killed that dream when they scheduled these primetime games during the same weekend as Reds/Indians.
