    Matt Morris

I saw on rotoworld that Morris was retiring but on Reds web Walt said in press yesterday that he might be interested in him. What is up?

No. When Jocketty was interviewed he said he knew Matt and really liked him, but didn't know if he was a fit. Basically the polite way of saying "Thanks, but no thanks."

Ya I think Jocketty was trying to nicely say no.

I don't think we need to look as washed up guys anymore. Not when we have plenty of good young arms in the minors. Now if Jim Bowden were here, Matt Morris would be on the payroll, along with a few other washed up pitchers.

Matt Morris is better than Matt Belisle or Josh Fogg. I'd take him at the league minimum.

Well heck, if we're getting drunk, pass me the bottle buddy. You can't be serious. I would rather kill myself than see Matt Morris in a Reds uni.

And Homer Bailey is better than all 3 (maybe better now than any of the 3 ever have been. Quit bringing in retreads it doesnt work 95% of the time. And I'll put a 100% guarentee that Morris would utterly fail and be gone within a couple weeks of signing.

Yes, after he had lost two or three games!

Nah, I'll pass. He'd probably bring that goofy St. Louis hair under the lip goatee-like trend to Cincinnati. I still have nightmares of Scott Spezio and his "hot pink" lip hair. Plus, he has stunk on the mound too.

While we're at it.....let's give Homer Bailey to the Pirates because we feel sorry for them, too.
