I have a bad feeling about the Reds chances against Gonzalez today.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I agree. This ain't the NFL.

Might as well let the opposing manager think that Phillips might be used.

Latos and Espinosa in a battle. Have to be over 10 pitches.

I'd be curious if there's ever a point where it becomes more efficient for a starting pticher to just walk a guy than give up a 10-15 pitch AB.

One out isn't worth 10% of a pitcher's pitch count, especially an otherwise quality starter.

I thought about that yesterday when Komatsu was running up pitch counts. Either walk him or just hit him.

On a 3-2 count, if no one is on base, I'd probably instruct my pitcher to hit the guy with pitch #8.

The Reds starting pitchers have me paranoid. Anytime the ball goes out of the infield I think it's going ot be a home run
