Of those made available, I went with Wilt. Given the state of the NBA these days, I just can't see a single player scoring 100 points in a game. Has anyone even come within 30 points? I'm not an NBA fan so I don't know.
Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game
Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak
Wayne Gretzky's 2,857 career points
Jerry Rice's 208 career TD's
Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2632 consecutive games played streak
Other: list it in thread

Randy Johnson (42) and Roger Clemens (43) are still over 1,000 strikeouts behind Nolan Ryan.
Pedro is 34 years old with 2,998 career Ks. Even if he averages 250 Ks / year (something he's only done in 4 of his 15 ML seasons) for the next decade, he'll still be short of the mark. Smoltz & Mussina have decent shots at cracking 3,000 Ks. That's just a little more than 1/2 of what Ryan has.
Jason Schmidt leads the under 35 crowd with 1,728 Ks at age 33. Javier Vasquez leads the under 30 crowd with 1,602 Ks at age 29. They'd each have to keep up their current pace for another 20 years to get within shouting distance.
1972-1974, Nolan Ryan threw 942 & 2/3 innings and piled up 1,079 Ks.
Ryan's record is so far out of reach that it isn't even funny.

I doubt anybody throws more than 2 consecutive no-hitters in a row (and will be shocked if anybody even matches it).
Maybe not the most unlikely to get broken, but very doubtful:

Why isn't Pete's record up there?
Nah... almost a 1000 points separate The great one from Messier... that's the telling part, plus he had all those assists feeding Messier, the NHL will increase scoring, chances are good it will never be the way it was in the 80's again. Goalies are better and the defense is faster.
Another one just to throw into the mix: Hack Wilson's 191 RBIs. A heck of a lot of things would have to fall into place for that to happen.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
