I found the off-setting stat that is just as unbelievable.

When he doesn't get on base we're 2-30 lol? It really does seem that he's the guy that gets the offense going, as tough as that is to believe.

you can't steal first....hitting in front of Joey Votto is the best position to bat in MLB and he is hitting like .215 just shows how bad he is. No one in baseball see's more fastballs in an at-bat than Stubbs.

In the 29 games Stubbs has played and the Reds have lost....he's scored 2 runs with 2 RBI and is 11/106 with and only 1 extra base hit (2B)

In our 29 losses with Stubbs playing

    Avg .104
    OB % .174
    Slug % .113

    OPS .287

I've never seen anything close to that ever.

I said before this road trip, if we go 5-6 or 6-5 it is a good road trip. The longest road trip all season right before the all-star break, to the West Coast is brutal.

We can't help what the Pirates are doing, they are hot, they will come back down to earth.

If we win tonight, we are 5-5 on this trip.

The problem with Stubbs is and has always been his lack of pitch recognition. He just doesn't know what's coming, and looks like he's guessing on almost every pitch. Batting in front of Votto only helps if you can take advantage of the pitches you see.

Meanwhile, Bailey looks quite good. Throwing a lot of strikes.

Stubbs was lucky on that steal, almost came to a complete stop, trying to dodge the SS, ya gotta slide Drew!

I've never seen a team's record affected by one guys success like that. Well at least not to these kinds of extremes. It makes his slumps and bad at bats more frustrating to be honest.
