Won't warrant that I will be there for all of them --- there is another game to be played tonight

but the Pirates are hitting Jake hard

Freese to the Yankees makes sense. Phil Hughes? Ivan Nova?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

4-0 with the bases jacked in the 2nd. Nearly a base clearing double too. Just foul.

Alvarez has a walk and 3-run homer in this game. It's his 10th homer against the Cardinals in 158 plate appearances.

No more screwing around. Time to gain some ground on the Cards.

Westbrook gets out of it but will he make it to the 5th inning?

and the double header coming --- me likes it

I wouldn't be surprised if this week is the last time the Cardinals are in first place the rest of this season.

I'm guessing Jake will take one for the team and go at least 6, no matter what.

Re: Scoreboard Watching 2013 (Part 2)

I predicted last week that the Cards wouldn't play .500 ball over their next 40 games and that prediction is off to a good start. Unfortunately, it's very possible that another team we know and love won't either.

Re: Scoreboard Watching 2013 (Part 2)

Westbrook goes 3 - 0 on Jones who slugs one to deep CF for an out -- then he goes 3 -0 next hitter before getting him out (maybe - close call)

edit -- he was safe -- bad call but close

I'd like to see a Pirates sweep and a Reds sweep. I think the Pirates crater a little in September. Not fold like the last two seasons. But wobble a bit.

thru 4 1/2 still 4-0 Pitt but this scares me because Pitt did not finish them off early
