"Bonanza"-growing up in the 1960s, we only got one TV channel, the NBC affiliate (WSAZ-3). My dad and I both liked westerns. It was a family tradition that, after church on Sunday nights, at 9 p.m. we all had a big bowl of popcorn and gathered around the TV to watch the latest adventures of the Cartwright clan.
Same here buddy. That's why I had to list some westerns. I love'em!

Maverick, Sugarfoot, Bronco, Have Gun Will Travel, Wagon Train, Raw Hide, Big Valley, The Rifleman, Cimmaron Strip, Bat Masterson, and Wanted: Dead or Alive (Steve McQueen).

My Dad was a HUGE Gunsmoke fan. When it came on you didn't sit in HIS chair, and you had better not make any noise or cause him to have to get out of it.

But those shows are just classics in my book.

Oh man. I listed 20 and can't believe I forgot The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. I used to love that. I wish it was on somewhere. I never see it in re-runs like all these others.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

SpringfieldFan added a few more westerns, and I can add yet a few others that I loved as kid:
    Laramie
    Laredo
    High Chapparal
    Cheyenne
    Branded
How The West Was Won (I wasn't a kid anymore when this one was broadcast, but I loved James Arness's "Zeb McCahan" character)
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."

My sister and I use fight like the dickens over the TV on Saturday mornings. I had to watch Sky King and Roy Rogers.

And we never missed Red Skelton, as well as "Live from Miami, it's the Jackie Gleason Show!"

That was pizza night in our household. Mom made homemade pizza, and it was the only time us kids got pop. Boy have the times changed.
