    No more Valdez, please.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Valdez does his job...moves the runner over for the pitcher.

I have no idea why he is starting after the great game the new kid had down in Miami....

Dusty's old school "this is the way we did it back in the day" mentality I don't understand.

You ride the hot horse..Valdez has no business starting tonight. We know exactly what he can do.

Those numbers for Bailey really do make you consider that Bailey should possibly start game 2 on the road in the playoffs.

If Votto is that scared then when does he become not scared? He is going to have to run hard sometime.

I'm guessing it had nothing to do with his injury. He was just being conservative, didn't want to run into an out with the bases loaded no outs.

Sometimes those come back to bite you, that time it worked out.

Didi Gregorius is the kids name that has played good at SS for us.

    Why not start him again?

I would be open to Gregorius being the back up infielder during the playoffs....he has hit the ball hard most at bats..let's see what he can do this month. Let him have a chance. Especially this series before Cozart comes back.

However we all know he has no chance of making the post season roster...no chance. Valdez is written in stone.

I heard somewhere he's not supposed to be 100% until next year.
