    McBeth being called up?

Just sayin', but expect to hear from Marcus McBeth soon
Trent just dropped a HUGE hint on his blog.

Maybe finally they will do something I want.

Question now becomes, who goes down?

Just about anybody in the BP would be a good candidate.

We can rule out a couple of people: Burton, Weathers, Saarloos. I doubt it'll be Coutlangus as well, as he's been mostly effective and he's a lefty. That leaves Coffey, Stanton, and Santos. Stanton is most deserving, but he's got that 2 year contract. Coffey is 2nd most deserving, but he seems to be Narron's favorite reliever, and he had a solid '06 season. My guess would be Santos, although it's probably between him and Coffey. This should be interesting...

Javy just isn't a catcher. Although this does mean we sent down EE to call up Moeller. Wow.

McBeth got called up. I'm a happy man.

I'll put money down Saarloos goes into the rotation.

    From John Fays Blog:

    Roster moves

SAN DIEGO - The Reds optioned infielder Jeff Keppinger and pitcher Bobby Livingston to Triple-A Louisville after tonight's loss against the Padres.

Catcher Chad Moeller and relief pitcher Marcus McBeth will join the team tomorrow.

Don't think this is a shake-up. Just adding a 3rd Catcher so Javy can DH in interleague play and sending down a starter who won't be needed until May 23. We may see Milty for that start.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I'd put Javy on 1st. He has more sock than Hatte, besides I'm tired of him in the top of the order grounding out to 2nd.

Those look like the right moves to be made.

Moeller has proven throughout his career (Ben Sheets always pitched his best games with Moeller by far over any other catcher) that he's good for pitchers.

McBeth is our best prospect in the Minors that's ready to contribute as a relief pitcher.

A little disappointed in seeing Keppinger go down. He reminds me of a hard-nosed player who, at the very least, blocks more ABs from Castro.

Oh well, at least we'll get a chance to see McBeth toss the peanut
