Who should the Reds target with pick #109? Do they go for a High Schooler who drops or go for a more signable college player?
Rahier was ranked #35 by BA, #31 by Keith Law, and #43 by John Sickles.
Reds get him at 78. Great pick, good upside and projectability. "Baseball rat." What's not to like?
Go BLUE!!!
Washington took Tony Renda. Their draft continues to impress. Even though he's small, I think he's going to be a good player.

From J.J. Cooper:
#Reds take Tanner Rahier with 2nd round pick. Was best remaining player on our board (ranked No. 34 on BA 500).

3rd base, outfield, and starting pitching were the biggest needs for the Reds organization down the road. Based on their picks so far, it looks like they're aware of that.

Another video on Rahier:
I think I throw the ball as hard as anyone. The ball just doesn't get there as fast. Eddie Bane
We know we're better than this ... but we can't prove it. Tony Gwynn
Braves just drafted Alex Wood.
Buckley has never gone without selecting an up-the-middle player in the first five selections. Can you guess what's coming next?

Carson kelly to the Cardinals.
Updated Big Board For Reds After 90 picks
1. Hunter Virant LHP HS - could be unsignable
2. Adam Brett Walker OF? Jacksonville - only if he can play OF
3. Rio Ruiz 3B HS - probably redundant with Rahier and Rosa in the system. Could go to college.
4. Jake Barrett RHP Arizona St - good value here and signable
5. Brett Mooneyham LHP Stanford - ditto
6. Kenny Diekeroger SS Stanford - expect up-the-middle players and Hinojosa is too tough of a sign
7. Skye Bolt OF HS - very tough sign
8. D'Vone McClure OF HS - fits up the middle criteria in CF
9. Peter O'Brien C Florida - best catcher remaining
10. Avery Romero 3B/C? HS - could move to catcher

Braves with Sims and Wood having a very good draft while sticking to their philosophy of going after local guys.
