    24-21 Bama

    Texas is charging.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

Wow, even if they can't pull off the win, the way Texas has battled all night tonight is extremely impressive. The defense has held up and that kid QB is going to be even more awesome for them from this experience.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Wow!If you turned this game off a while ago you might want to turn it back on.A little over 6 min. left and Texas only trails by 3.

This would be one of the biggest comebacks in college football history considering the circumstances.

The Rose Bowl is special. It's by far my favorite bowl to watch. Texas has provided some absolute thrillers at the Rose Bowl in the last five years.

The only reason they are in it is because Saban called off the dogs on offense for the entire 3rd, and most of the 4th, quarter. He looked like he was perfectly content to take 3 and out on every drive just to run the clock. They could have put this game away a long time go, but played it conservative.

If Bama blows it, there is going to be hell to pay for Nick Saban taking his foot off the gas for most of the second half.

Ballgame ... maybe. Bama recovers a fumble inside the Texas five yard line. Texas has got to hold them to a field goal here.

Saban may have a concussion after that Gatorade bath/steamrolling...

Colt McCoy is a CLASS ACT. I feel bad for him. I hope his injury isn't too serious and he goes on to make millions at the next level.

Maybe, but even after Texas cut it to three Alabama couldn't score on them until they were handed the ball at the three. You're selling Texas' defense short.

Tough to do a full honest accounting without McCoy playing, but Alabama is certainly a deserving champion. Sometimes those are the breaks.

Total class act. He said after the game that his arm was "dead, it's totally numb." Wow...3 1/2 hours after the hit and his arm still numb. Does anybody know what could cause this? It can't be a circulation problem because his arm would be blue. Nerve damage?

    We do know. It's Alabama.

Injuries happen. It's a part of all sports.

To insist somehow that Alabama's national championship is tainted is just silly.

I don't call giving up 37 points great defense, so I don't think I'm selling them short.

Alabama didn't attempt to do a thing on offense until Texas got to within three. Run, run, run, punt. Saban would have kept doing it all the way to the end.

I'm not sure how Alabama scored their last TD, I had already left and headed home, but I don't think it really meant anything. Before that they scored 17 in the first half and didn't score again until there were 2 minutes to go in the 4th and only because they started their drive on 3. So yes, you are selling them short.
