    Braves to Sign David Ross

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8...-McCann-backup

The Braves, identifying a backup for Brian McCann, are close to signing free-agent catcher David Ross to a two-year contract, according to a major-league source.

Ross, 31, will replace the combination of Corky Miller and Clint Sammons, who served as McCann's backups last season.
Ross began last season with the Reds, but was released on Aug. 18. He cleared waivers and signed with the Red Sox, but batted only eight times the rest of the season.

The Braves will be Ross' sixth team in eight seasons. He is a .222 career hitter, but posted a .369 on-base percentage in 68 games with the Reds and Red Sox last season.

Note to Reds base runners in 2009: When playing the Braves, feel free to try to score on close plays at the plate--in his years with the Reds I don't think Ross ever caught a ball cleanly on a play at the plate.

I like the move for Atlanta, actually.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Note to Reds base runners in 2009: When playing the Braves, be cautious about stealing bases because David Ross has a laser rocket arm...

Note to Reds base runners in 2009: When playing the Anybody, be cautious about stealing bases because I've never seen a team get picked-off and thrown out as often is the bad news reds... On second thought, just don't run at all. Most of you have enough trouble getting on base in the first place, so stop risking being thrown out so frequently after actually getting there.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Not to bash the Red's but maybe the throws will be more accurate and not bounce repeatedly before they hit home plate area off to the right ?
    2006 Redzone mock Draftee's- 1(st) Daniel Bard(redsox), 1(st sup)( Jordan Walden (Angels), 2(nd) rd.- Zach Britton(Orioles), 3(rd) Blair Erickson(Cardinals), 3(rd) Tim Norton( Yankees),(cuz its a Tim Hortons thing
