When i grow up, please, please let me be a headline writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

(Was going to put this in the scoreboard thread, but kind of...felt that it belonged here?)

That's hilarious and there's a few gems in the actual article too, LOL
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

I wasn't getting the references here. It seems they changed the headline. I can still see the name in the address bar though. Funny. My brother used to work for that paper. He'll get a laugh out of it. :O)

That they did. It's still in the article itself, at the end of the paragraph beginning "The Reds, meanwhile..."

I appreciate the face that Smizik actually wrote that sentence, as opposed to it just being a post-production headline.

Well, with AJ Burnett holding court at the other end of the Keystone State, I guess there was no other option than to top his un-toppable shirt with...a Pirates fedora.

I will say this for the Pirates' promotional giveaway folks: they make it incredibly easy to identify the dbags walking amongst the everyday citizens of Pittsburgh.

Say what you will, but I bet we see a Reds version of these within the next couple years.

Pirates don't wear fedoras. They should have an eyepatch giveaway. Or maybe parrots.

I'm not a fedora guy, nor will I ever wear one...

But this comment is just ignorant. You ever been to OTR? I'm out of place without one on, and I love OTR...and don't consider many of their residences or business owners dbags.

    Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've been to OTR, quite a few times. It's not exactly fedora central, lol.
