I assume the return is because Cingrani is pitching.
    WHEN DOES IT STOP!?!?

Corky will go 0-4, but his mustache will get a single, a HR, and get hit by a pitch.

And because Mes has caught a bunch of innings lately.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Looking at Villanueva's splits, for a RHP this year he has been killing lefties. They are only 3 for 32 this season, all singles. For his career he is about even on the splits so still better than most RHP on lefties.

I was in favor of the Reds signing Villanueva this offseason to be the #5 and trading Leake...but I hope the Reds bash his brains in.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Sveum, if he is sitting DeJesus because a rookie lefty is pitching, is clueless. Yes, he has negative splits for a lefty, but come on. He is as dangerous as anyone in their lineup and they really need a win.

(Pretty much guarantees a big game from Sappelt)

Any pitcher that would dare even ponder striking such a magnificent lip warmer would instantly be struck by lightning before that dark pitch would even leave his hand.

If he's going to get a start, it might as well be with the guy he's most familiar with of the catchers.

So, a manager is clueless for platooning a lefty who brings a low .500 OPS to the table vs. LH pitching?

Negative splits is one thing, but his are downright horrible.

With a day game tomorrow, Corky has to start one of them. Makes sense for it to be this one.

Career OPS vs. lefties is .669, which is what I would use to see if he is horrible against lefties. I'm not sure what timeframe you were looking at. You didn't think I'd bother to go look that up before making that statement?

Wasn't in the game thread last night, but dang, Wood has grown up eh? Glad he's still got a career going.

Votto doesn't need days off. He just needs more coffee.
