sometimes it takes a while to adjust... seems a lot of folks forget that baseball is truely, in every sense of the word, timeless and that patience needs to be exercized in a lot of cases.. see stubbs, bailey, etc.

Michael Griffin got his first AA homer today. Sam Lecure has given up two hits through five innings. 2-0 Chattanooga, middle 5th.
Robert Manuel (Sarasota) has gone 5 innings, allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and struck out 6. He is old for his level, but he has put together a very solid year in Sarasota.
Coming into the game he had 61ip, 53h, 10bb, 61K, 0 HR despite being a fly ball pitcher. He has come out of the bullpen a lot, this is only his 5th start of the year, but he has been very solid.
Louisville doesn't get much of a break from the stud pitching down on the Yankees farm. Last night they got Phil Hughes on rehab and all he did was allow 2 hits over 5 innings. Tonight they get Joba Chamberlain making his AAA debut. Check out this kids numbers this season

The Reds traded Dave Williams (and cash) for Robert Manuel. Manuel's control is good that he can hit an ant with a baseball from 300 feet away. I'm using hyperbole, but his control is very good--possibly the best in the system.

Chattanooga up 4-0 now, top 7th. Marland Williams with an RBI triple, J. C. Boscan singles him home. The Lookouts lineup is less than imposing today, but it's getting the job done. Lecure is out, his line is 5.1IP, 2H, 0R, 3BB, 3K. Asadoorian has taken over.

Chattanooga just finished up a 4-2 win. Asadoorian gave up a run and left the bases loaded with no outs in the 7th. Pelland came in a gave up a sac fly, but otherwise shut the Braves down, throwing the last three innings and striking out seven.
Pelland today: 3 Innings, 2 Hits, 0 Runs, 0 BB, 7 K
Pelland in July: 9.2 Innings, 5 Hits, 1 Run, 4 BB, 19 K
If Pelland can just command that stuff of his, wow!
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
This is the one who keeps impressing the heck outta me. I believe he makes another leap this season to AA.
He is killing the lower levels.Viola: 2 Innings, 0 Hits, 0 Runs, 0 BB, 3 K
