    Opening Day First pitch: It'll be Lachey

    Pencil pop star Nick Lachey into the lineup for Cincinnati Reds Opening Day. The 1992 School for Creative & Performing Arts graduate says he will throw out the ceremonial first pitch April 6 before the Reds play the New York Mets.

    Nick Lachey is a class act, it's hard not to at least respect the guy.

    Sure, this guy used to be in a boy band, but he's turned out to be one of our city's strongest promoters. First pitch is lame anyway. He'll give something for the ladies to gawk at, now that Freel is gone.

    I like Nick. I think he represents the city well. He is a huge UC fan, I do know that.

    Isn't this the same guy that sang Hail to the Victors at the top of Ohio Stadium in 2006 on ESPN College Gameday with Desmond Howard? That is a big strike in my book. IMO I'd rather see the Ol' Mayor.
