It's been like this most of the game; sometimes it's been worse. Heavy fog throughout, though apparently at ground level they can see enough to play.

Why does one have to admit it's a low number?

    Code:

Split PA BA OBP SLG OPS
    --- 156 .355 .429 .580 1.009
    Men On 134 .283 .463 .414 .877
    RISP 80 .328 .500 .483 .983
He doesn't get pitched to (notice the IsoD with "Men On" and "RISP"); opposing pitchers found a way to mitigate the damage. Even so, he's hitting well in those situations.

It's not taboo to mention RBI but what you're doing is basically baiting.

It's flat awful for Votto. And you are right it's Taboo on RZ.

Holy crap. I've never seen anything like that.

I keep expecting one of our outfielders to be taken by THE FOG.

It's pretty hard to knock in a guy from first or bases empty. His RISP numbers are good.

Or Shoeless Joe to walk out of the fog and ivy, and take Choo's spot in CF.

Which is just as silly as saying RBI aren't important. A batter can't control if there's anyone on base in front of him or not, but he's 100% in control of what happens next. And no, I'm not interested in revisiting this debate any further.

I'm really disappointed. I just pulled up MLB gameday. I thought for sure the fog would blind my vision of the outfield stands.

His RISP #'s are better than his total numbers. Can you ask anything more from a hitter?

Not if the pitcher doesn't pitch to him.

    Then stop bringing it up.
