I've never understood why any pitcher who starts to struggle is a headcase.

Yeah sarcasm duly noted. Watch his behavior on the mound after Votto error and refusing to throw sliders and getting upset with the umps. How about immature....is that better?

First baseball player ever to do either of those. The guy who started today does it all the time.

Trying to draw conclusions from body language is usually a bad idea.

Yeah, it's been awhile. I think the last time this team won on a Sunday was...let's see.....oh, last Sunday.

Like I corrected myself... Immature. With his slider, he should not be afraid to throw it.

No doubt he is "afraid" to do it. Probably is afraid they might ship him back to Cuba if he does. Terrified.

Are you trying to pick a fight with me? Did saying head case and then correcting myself not suffice? Other posters have said he seems afraid to do it.... but they must be the cool kids of RedsZone ..I imagine?

Yeah....but he never wins more than one Sunday a week. Very frustrating.

Yes, he does have a closers mentality. He has Mitch Williams' mentality.

Spent the day out with family, thrilled to see we got a much needed W even if we made it interesting at the end. We're good again.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Had a long and busy day, so I didn't get to watch the game. Was Latos as dominant as his stat line looks? Did he just wear down in the 8th? He seems to hit the proverbial wall in the 7th or 8th. Was that the case today too? Good to see him get a 'W' though. The offense and bullpen has cost him probably 8-10 wins since he became a Red.
