Cueto just hasn't been that sharp lately. Pirates announcers are in their seventh game of the World Series mode, they are very excited by this situation.

Giving these Pirates extra chances is dangerous

What's with the wind? Are they playing in Chicago??

Someone said it was a confidence issue lately with Cueto. Walking a .234 right handed hitter in the 2nd inning with a single runner on 3rd certainly does not exude confidence.

Giving any team extra chances is dangerous, but if you have to do do, give them to the Pirates I guess.

    Indeed.

Yeah, I didn't get that. I know it brings the pitcher up, but I'd rather see them go aggressively at Barajas. It's Rod freakin' Barajas afterall.

Cueto at 31 pitches--20 that inning. If there is one thing that bothers me about Johnny and Latos it's their tendency to throw too many pitches.

Deciding to walk Barajas wasn't Cueto's call, that had to be Dusty....

Watching Cueto jog to first really gripes me.

Oh definitely. No argument there. I'd rather go after Barajas and make Burnett lead off the next inning.

Cueto chopper to 2nd. Cozart grounds out on the first pitch. 2 down quickly.

    Helpin Burnett with quick swings.

The Cards are in a hurry to get out of Atlanta.

They are 9 up, 9 down, working Hudson for 29 pitches.

I agree with Dusty on this one. Votto isn't playing, Burnett a good pitcher, can't expect a ton of runs tonight. Pitch to Burnett and get out of the inning safely.

    Just don't walk him.
