The Reds bullpen is definitely overrated. To many soft tossers that can't miss bats aka Ondrusek,Lecure and Bray.

Latos: "Dusty came over and pulled me. I'm not going to argue with him."

Tells me he could have stayed on the hill, at least one more inning.
Rounding third and heading for home...

it wouldn't have mattered, we could score to save our life.

I was good with pulling Latos because of the innings he's thrown lately, we really can't afford him to go to the DL. At some point the other guys need to be better at their jobs.

I guess that sometime will be after the all star break when it really doesn't matter anymore?

Lets hope not. Tomorrow should be a telling game though. This was an embarrassing game, if they don't respond well tomorrow then that's a bad sign.

you can't keep putting off the time table of success, either you capture it or it passes you bye.

Fair point, I suppose. Just no other options than Marshall there? Seemed an odd matchup.

Oh yea you can really question the moves once we got into the bullpen, just sayin that I thought it was a good time to get Latos out.

The way our bullpen is setup now I guess Ondrusek could have been the guy to start the 8th...and I don't really feel much better about that. I think Simon has earned his shot at bigger moments in the game so he'd be my favorite choice at the moment. Arredondo is another option but he's actually better at getting lefties out because of his splitter (which makes me wonder even more why Bray is on the team right now). And then obviously going to Lecure with the bases loaded, but I really don't think it mattered at that point, Ondrusek had already lost the game.

If Hanigan or Heisey were able to hit a flyball earlier in the game we would have handed over a lead to Chapman in the 9th. It was just a really poorly played game by everyone not named Mat Latos.

Eh yeah you're right, Heisey played a good game. I was just lumping all of the offense together to be honest.
