    Redszone Community Prospect Vote #16

Vote for the player who you think is the Reds #16 prospect (the best prospect who is not yet on the list). We will go with this as far as you guys want to take it.

I will post a new list every 2 days with 10-15 options to vote on.

If you feel like making an argument on why a guy should be voted here, feel free to vote and state why you voted for that player.

If there is someone that is not currently listed as an option to vote on, vote for 'other' then just state who you want to vote for in the thread.

If there is anyone you would like to see as an option on the next poll, just say so and if they garner enough support, they will be placed on the next poll. Guys with the lowest amount of votes will usually be removed for the next few guys who were talked about in the previous thread.

    Prospect 1 - Jay Bruce
    Prospect 2 - Homer Bailey
    Prospect 3 - Johnny Cueto
    Prospect 4 - Joey Votto
    Prospect 5 - Todd Frazier
    Prospect 6 - Drew Stubbs
    Prospect 7 - Matt Maloney
    Prospect 8 - Josh Roenicke
    Prospect 9 - Travis Wood
    Prospect 10 - Devin Mesoraco
    Prospect 11 - Kyle Lotzkar
    Prospect 12 - Danny Dorn
    Prospect 13 - Sean Watson
    Prospect 14 - Carlos Fisher
    Prospect 15 - Juan Francisco

Daryl Thompson. Handled Low-A and High-A last year, will be in Chatanooga at some point this season. Good strikeout numbers.

    Voted Soto.

Folks should consider Viola, Pelland and Valaika soon. Pelland misses bats and is about ready to be in the major league pen. Viola had a great year, advancing through A-ball to AA, excellent numbers all the way through. Pelland is more advanced and actually a few months younger. Pelland did better in the AFL. Question about Pelland is walks.

Valaika has had a bad stretch lately, but last year was a top ten guy. He's a good hitter and I think he will adjust.

They should be on the radar.

I'm gonna keep going with starting pitchers over relievers, but I'll join the Viola bandwagon once Thompson gets voted in...

Waring, again. Hello? Is there anyone out there from Montana who watched the Mustangs in person? (Stat sheet numbers only tell part of the story).

Once again, I went with Soto. Up next, I think I'm going with Adam Rosales.

Like Pedro, but after this one, I'm on the Pelland bandwagon. He is the one guy on the list who is major league ready, did well at AAA, did well in the AFL. Always had good stuff, seems well suited to the pen. Viola had a great year, but is a bit older and at a lower level of competition. Tyler P for 17.

Do most of you who voted for Soto feel he is a better prospect than Valaika has been throughout his stints in Billings and Dayton?

I think Soto has more power potential than Valaika and thats what really sets the two apart for me.
