They're looking game 5 right in the face. No NL team has ever blown a 2-0 lead, much less with the last 3 at home.

They're choking. Doesn't mean they won't win this one or tomorrow, but they look like they're gagging.

Getting into the 5th only down a run provided hope with a well rested team and the other team on pitcher #4 (who should have pitched last night's 10th and not be available today).

You just gotta pull Leake after the first hit and be ready with Lecure the third time through. Play it like a game 5 or at least a game 4.5 No sense having a well rested pen for the offseason

Evereything that can go wrong has gone wrong today.

Need a run here in the bottom of the 5th to stop the bleeding

    SSS.

You can never count on that against a pitcher that good.

    Great inning there, offense. Not.

The Matt Cain who is a sub-3.00 ERA guy that strikes out ~8 batters per 9 innings?

    In an elimination game?

Coming off 2 putrid offensive performances?

Yeah, I'm not going to put money on the Reds continuing to beat up on a demonstrably great pitcher.

THis isn't all on Leake. Ten baserunners and only 2 runs is inexcusable as well.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

First off, why qualify to the NL? Because it sounds more ominous when it is no ____ team? Second, has anyone ever had the last three at home to lose?

In the interview, Dusty explained that Leake was keeping the ball down effectively. So he left him in.

As usual with this team, they don't score runs. They didn't score when Bailey pitched a gem yesterday. They can't score when Leake allows some today.

The team is susceptible to right handed pitching. The team is a low OBP, low BA outfit that lives or dies on the long ball. Some of us said it as early as mid-April.

Reds managed some good offensive games in SF, but it's a struggle for them to produce offensively, particularly since Votto is obviously not right.

So let's stop trashing Dusty and Leake and everyone else. This is the team, it's weaknesses are showing, and maybe they still pull it out later today or tomorrow.

    Go Reds.

I look for tomorrow's game to be very similar to last nights game a good pitchng duel that will be close throughout.

The shame of this series is without 3 bad plays (Philips baserunning, Hanigan's passed ball and Rolen's error) we would not be having this conversation. Because the pitching was good enough to sweep this series.
