Every single swing makes a weak/sore hamstring hurt even more. Phillips shouldn't have gone up to hit, IMO. Granted he got us a nice hit, but it may not be worth at the cost at which it may have came. I've played baseball for years, and have had the unfortunate experience of 2 badly strained hamstrings. Id sit Phillips for 2-3 weeks and hope for the best.

Going to be a long season if Votto never gets an important AB because teams are so giddy to get to Rolen.

I expect Phillips to be tabled for awhile now. Tried it out today, didn't work.

Maybe his double will be a good farewell note for awhile.

Rolen now up with two outs.

We've looked at 50 strikes today and swung at balls

That's been discussed else where and been shown to not be true. Has he shown the improvement you want? Obviously not... He hasn't been entirely disappointing, he just hasn't live up to the hype. And he really doesn't have that much time in the majors. He has been a better pitcher, just not the future Ace everyone invisioned. Now he deals with a double standard from Reds fans, which is the kiss of death in Cincy.

Rolen falls behind in the count. This is getting repetitious.

    K on three pitches.

I really like Rolen but I don't like seeing him struggle like he has during the early season.

Who in their right mind bats Rolen 4th behind Votto?

Rolen with a typical Rolen AB. Watches a perfect pitch go by, then another borderline pitch that typically is called a strike (where were those for LEake?) and then chases garbage.

Anybody know how many men Rolen has left on base this year?
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Rolen hitting clean up was a joke 2 seasons ago.
