Like that idea a lot. Think he's got some left in the tank, and being in the playoff hunt could reinvigorate him.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Phillips' eyes just light up with men on base this year. He seems really into the RBI thing.

That's the first time I've seen him run smoothly in a month. Usually runs like the guy chasing Shooter McGavin at the end of Happy Gilmore

HR here from Frazier and I will feel comfortable calling it a night. I've been pretty damn useless all week.

Post All-Star break has eliminated two teams in a week. The Giants and Nationals are done.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

The way the Dodgers are playing, I believe you're correct about the Giants.

Don't see the Nats climing back in, but I'd give them a larger chance than SF.

I was just being stupid I thought he still looked awkward running. While watching the ball roll around I was actually thinking where would Billy Hamilton have ended up if he just kept rounding the bases. I think he might have made it to 2nd base on his 2nd lap.

Michael Young seems like the kind of player Jocketty would go after. He could play 3rd and 1st and bat 2nd. That would put Frazier back as a utility guy.

There aren't any moves the Reds are going to make to win the division if the Cardinals continue to play out of their collective minds (now +140 RS/RA for the year). The Cards expected w/l is now up to a crazy 65-33.

Hopefully this is the year the tables turn and the Cards get the best record in MLB and lose in the first round of the playoffs to the wild card to the Reds. If there is any justice whatsoever left in the world, that's what will happen.

I think I would just stick with Frazier and save whatever it would cost you to get Michael Young. Don't see it as an upgrade.

True, still it's pretty good fortune that most of them haven't come around to score. Guess it kind of evens out.

Any chance we can play against the Giants every day?
