All of those teams were in the California Penial league
...And all of them offered him a minor league deal. Boras left that part out.

Point well taken...but, in all seriousness, are we completely sure that the current group of Reds players are going to string together more wins than the Nats in 2009?At least one if you include Bowden's Nationals.
There are certainly no guarantees, but I'd bet a lot of money that the Reds will have a better 2009. Either way, I really doubt another five-tool outfielder is going to cure the Nationals' woes.

Cedric 3/24/08It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...
And nothing wrong with it either -- puffery and hype are the language of agents. When you think how much money is on the line in each one of the deals they sign, not only for the player but for themselves and their staff, it really becomes part of the job description.

I'd bet 8 teams have contacted him. Its not unreasonable. It doesn't mean 8 have contacted him to offer a starting job and multi year deal, but 8 have probably called asking if he'd take a minor league deal with an invite to ST.
