    Against Duke....

Duke should never have been a 6 seed ! They probably deserved to be an 8 or 9.
Oh wait...then they would have been matched against UK and they would have won their first game....so i'll take the 6 seed and loss.

Wright State and E. Kent putting up strong performances so far.

EDIT: Well from down 13-0 to down 1, Wright State is surprising.

Duke/VCU was a great game, especially the second half. I picked Duke to win the game, but I'm not terribly upset that they lost. I had the Blue Devils getting bounced in the second round anyway.

Early indications are the 8/9 games are going to continue doing to me what they've always done to me, and that's ruin my first round picks. I picked Marquette, and they played an absolutely horrible game. I also picked Xavier, and while they're not looking bad so far, they gave up an 8-0 run to BYU to end the first half and have had problems stopping them from scoring early on.

I used to have that same problem. Now I just pick the 8/9 winner in my head and mark down the opposite on my bracket.

It looks like VCU and Gonzaga are going to pee on a perfect first day for me. Jerks. But I suppose there's still time for Gonzaga.

I don't know what I was thinking going with a west coast team.

Hey, we don't need any talk like that, they're done. But seriously I'm worried about this second half. IU is not doing anything inside and if their shooting continues to slide it's going to be a bad night for me.

Something starting to brew down in Winston Salem. Now that I have officially jinxed it by getting interested in it, I will go back to watching WSU get beat down by Pitt.

It would be cool to see, but there's too much time left. I don't think they sustain that effort for 15 more minutes.

My favorite teams are in this order:
    Cincinnati
    Whoever is playing Kentucky.
    Whoever is playing Duke.

Ok, well I guess I'm the one who's odd and not everybody else. I honestly cannot think of a team that I just root against.

I don't like hearing Gus Johnson. He has a tendency to SCREAM AND YELL and the end of the GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

    No love for Xavier?

I thought that was 2nd most entertaining game of the day. I thought they were dead down 49-40 in the second half but came back and made some big shots and defensive plays down the stretch. Sets up a very interesting matchup on Saturday.

    Go Muskies!
