Graves has converted to starting again. He's been through a lot the last few years. I actually hope he pitches well today.

Keppinger still in AAA ruins my hope that we won't see Janish in the 2 hole tonight.

I think you'll see Keppinger once the DH comes into use. Meaning Friday at the earliest.

That's a good point. I forgot the Reds were playing in the Cheaters League this weekend.

The milb.com scoreboard is now showing Sam Lecure as the starter tonight for Chattanooga instead of Jordan Smith.

I wonder if Lecure is auditioning to go to Louisville. After Mallett's outing today, there's certainly no reason to run him out there again. Either Jukich or Lecure would seem to be the one to go. We've not given Lecure much attention on these boards, and he's been very inconsistent, but he's also had some very good outings. He may yet figure in the 5th starter picture for the Reds.

Absolutely no reason Kepp can't play up here if he can play down there.

We need his bat in the lineup, like now.

Lecure's last ten games: 3.81 ERA, 56.2 innings, 53 hits, 20 W, 54 K's. Certainly good enough to warrant a look at the next level.

He's been DH'ing, for the most part.

I don't think he's ready to play SS yet. He'll likly be up this weekend to DH.
