You can fire all of the doctors that you want, but it's not going to prevent one thing. Players are still going to get injured and they are still going to have setbacks in their recovery.

why is this a pointless thread? It's a valid question. Doc Hollyhood's misdiagnosis's are continuing to have a neagative impact on the team.

What misdiagnoses might you be speaking of? Surely not Latos, right? Because new injuries can't possibility be misdiagnosed if they've just happened.

    Re: Is it time?

If data is important in looking at a baseball team it's even more important looking at health, frankly we don't see enough data from the Reds to make an educated decision on anything medical at all.

    You'd need to:

Look at the body of work of the Reds in his tenure
Look at the body of work of MLB in his tenure
    Look at the similar injuries
Look at the similar injuries in the general population
Account for age of affected players
Account for technology advancement in that time period

Then try an make an educated decision without any medical training.

    Good luck.

Doc Hollywood went on Sunday Morning Sportstalk right after Latos had his knee operation and said that he will be throwing in a couple of weeks and will be ready for the season and look what has happened. Doesn't he look bad saying that kinda of stuff? Shouldn't he just say that the player will be ready when he ready? Can you name another team doctor that gives updates to the press? I can't!

Other examples, Sean Marshall has had a so called ''tired'' arm for over a year now. Last season, Ryan Haingian-sp went on the D.L. with a bad thumb and turned out to have a bad obqublic-sp muscle. How does that happen? Also, Doc Hollywood covered Larkin's and Griffery behinds to death!

His concern should be the team's welfare instead of his lousy stinking rep!

Not at all. Latos was throwing in a few weeks.
Shouldn't he just say that the player will be ready when he ready?
If he wants to not have a job, sure, he should say that.

Literally every other team doctor in baseball.

    He's a pitcher. Stuff happens.
Last season, Ryan Haingian-sp went on the D.L. with a bad thumb and turned out to have a bad obqublic-sp muscle. How does that happen?
It didn't happen. He was placed on the DL with a strained left oblique.
Also, Doc Hollywood covered Larkin's and Griffery behinds to death!
Two old players in the twilight of their careers are oft injured? What's next, dog bites man?

His concern should be the team's welfare instead of his lousy stinking rep!
    It is.

Dunno about the other stuff but the Ryan Madson miss was a bad one and a costly one.
