    Cozart is now a Bat!

Wes Bankston has been placed on the Louisville DL, and according to the Bats game notes, Zach Cozart will join the Bats for the remainder of the Playoffs.

I know, he could be back by the end of the second round and the AAA championship game. If the Bats make it that far, his experience in the championship game will be very valuable.

    how did he do?
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

    Here's a question...

Is Cozart RIGHT NOW a better hitter than Paul Janish? Could Cozart make the team out of ST and be a better option than Janish? How does Janish and Cozart compare defensively. What's the overall picture say?

Yes he is a better hitter right now. Janish may be slightly better defensively, but its mostly because of his arm, not the range.

Id be pretty happy with Cozart and Janish on the same roster. Janish might not hit well but he is only going to kill you at the plate because of power. He can handle the bat and has a good eye so if he was my defensive infielder guy i could live with it. A cheap Juan Castro type I have no problem with taking up that 25 man roster spot. If only Rosales could hit at the ML level then Id change my mind a bit.

Is Cozart a good enough option for 2011 that we'd be better off living with Janish for a year (or possibly part of one) than entering into the market for a SS?
