Well, so much for the flawless records of Chapman and Ondrusek...had to happen sometime.

Latos is going to need to be more efficient and pitch deeper into ballgames in order to prevent things like this from happening.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The bad thing is, Logan and Chapman were used in this mess.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Total collapse by the pitching today. But hey, the next seven games are against the Yankees and Braves!

I think that is a fair statement of today's lesson. A+

and almost assuredly won't be available tomorrow night.

I give both Chapman and Ondrusek passes. They have been nearly flawless for 6 weeks. Can't ask for more than that. Just not happy with the other things (Frazier and Stubbs' defense, Latos' mediocre performance, and the missed strike call on Wright namely).

At what point is Ryan Ludwick not the answer?

I'm sure Chapman will sit tomorrow.

I'm equally sure Logan will pitch if it's a close game.

This 91mph pitch and the resulting call from the HP umpire cost this ballgame. Human element anyone?

Chapman is still technically perfect. The run wasn't earned. I thought Chapman, on a day that he didn't have his best stuff, was actually very good. He battled and even though he gave up a run, he still did well. Ondrusek had a miserable day, but that's okay. He deserves a complete pass on this one.

Ondrusek not throwing meatballs to Wright and Cedeno would have helped too.

I'm not sure Heisey is the full-time answer for LF, but I struggle to see how anyone could say that Ludwick is a better option than Heisey at this juncture.

I didn't like the way Ondrusek pitched his previous outing, although there was no damage done. I hope he's not injured in some way.

Otherwise, yes, he was a victim of the law of averages.

It's hard to sweep series on the road. This isn't a disaster by any means. Have to win one or two at Yankee Stadium, can't get swept, need a decent road performance. (In other words, hopefully Cueto will pitch.)
