True. It beat out Cars and Monster House. I know Cars was generally considered one of Pixar's worst (although still well liked). Monster House?

I thought it came out to mixed reviews, mostly because of the heavy-handed environmental message.

There is no denying that he has pulled it off for decades.

    Worst. Movie. Ever.
I still shudder just thinking about it.

I always said Madagascar started a bad trend of the cartoon movies going downhill, not that Madagascar was that bad, just a step down from others in the genre. I'm pretty sure that the genre bottomed out with this.

Dreamworks has a history of putting out awful animated films. Happy Feet, Shark Tale, Antz, every Shrek after the first one, Flushed Away, etc. Their films pale in comparison to Pixar, with a few exceptions (Shrek, Kung Fu panda).

The Royal Tenenbaums. I thought it was all style, no substance. And I'm all for style -- I'm a sucker for pretty movies, actually -- and cleverness, but I cannot handle whiney people on top of it. It was like teenage angst wrapped up in a sophisticated package. There was one moment I loved, and the rest of it I hated.

I know there are more but I'm blanking.

I loved Lost in Translation though. Nothing else has better captured the mood of life out of a suitcase in my opinion.

No Country for Old Men. I absolutely hated it and couldn't understand the buzz. I'm actually a big Coen Brothers fan but can't stand their "masterpiece."

Not a big Wes Anderson fan myself, quirky for the sake of being quirky is boring and nothing but style over substance IMO.

Rushmore is still Anderson's crowning achievement. Before he became more of an institution for indie in-jokes.

I rank it among my favorite movies of all time, yet I can see where someone can say exatly what you have here.

I used to be a huge fan, always anticipating the next movie only to be disappointed. Bottle Rocket is still one of my favorite movies of all time though.

Rushmore was amazing. I'm like Bill Murray's number one fan though, so there's that.
