    Chapman: 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 35 pitches/22 strikes.

Tough luck inning. Two groundballs snuck through for hits, including one off the glove of Alonso.

Bats have two runners on, two outs and a 3-1 count on Cozart. Another walk here would load them up for Alonso again...

Cozart walked for the third time tonight. He's 1-for-3 with a double and three walks. Alonso has a chance for his second grand slam of the night...

Re: Friday July 2nd minor league updates

We just got in from the Bats/Bulls game. The Bats finally won a game in Durham! Klinker wasn't really sharp but managed to get through. Got to see Chapman both games he pitched in Durham. I really had wanted to see Valiquette and that worked out as well.

Chapman was much more composed tonight and left a lot of the heat in the club house. My wife and I thorougly enjoyed the game. I wish the Bats were in more than once a year.

What is keeping Hannigan from moving up? He caught again tonight. Who is the preferred catcher at AAA and the bigs between he and Miller? Thanks.

Is Alonso putting on an audition or what? He has come alive at the perfect time if the Reds plan on moving him!

Both of those plays are ridiculous. Seriously, there's probably only a handful of major leaguers who make that play (and Phillips is one of them).

    Damn. Just damn.

Not sure why they moved him from SS. Anyone heard the reason?

I think it was to make room for Lohman. I'm hoping (and even thinking) this is just temporary though.
