LOL. Jonny Gomes has some of the ugliest at bats you could ever see.

Hacking first pitch, Cairo grounds out.

    10-5.

Brandon hacks at the first pitch, game over.

Lead down to 6 games. You simply cannot continually count on other teams to do your dirty work for you. This 6-game lead is far from safe.

Just got home. Well...it was enjoyable thru 2.5. *sigh* At least all the fans around us were good natured and while the sun was beating down on us pretty hard, a beautiful day to be at the ol' ballpark.

We'll be there again tomorrow. I like our chances a lot more w/o Harang pitching (ever again for the Reds).

4-3 in this 10 game set. It'll be all right.

Was this a game anyone really thought we had a chance in? So, Jimenez was mortal today, but we had a twilighting Harang on the mound. The final score was the only thing ever in doubt. Move on, try to get out of here with a win and get on the plane. That's 5-5 in this 10 game stretch and is really all we need at this stage.

Posts like this kill me. At day's start (haven't checked tonight) no team in the NL has been victorious more or won a higher percentage of their games than the Cincinnati Reds. Stop selling them short.

Considering the Reds stranded, what, 13 guys? I would say the problem wasn't just the pitching. The offense got guys on base but didn't get them in.

If the Reds go up 7-0 in the 4th or 7-4 in the 5th, who knows how the game goes.

If, dog, rabbit. A win with that matchup would have been a steal. It didn't work, Jimenez recovered, then we got Coorsed.

In addition to being one of the very best at his job, "Daddy Wags" was really a wonderful guy. Always had a smile on his face, always liked to see his friends laugh, always asking you about your family and kids.

Mark was a big man, and he needed to be in order to fit a heart as big as he had. He put people first.

I knew Mark for nearly 30 years, and will miss him very much. He loved the Reds, the Xavier Muskies and the LaSalle Lancers, not necessarily in that order!!

I loved being able to hear Mark laugh on air of the TV games, especially when Chris Welsh was giving Thom (who is a dear friend of Mark's) a hard time about something or other. That goodhearted guffawing you could just barely hear in the background was Mark Wagner.

    RIP, Daddy Wags.

No doubt, they have a great overall record.

But they went 6-12 against the Cardinals this season. That's unacceptable, and it's why The Cardinals still have life.
