I just finished Young Adult, and it's quite good. 6.3 is a joke.

Young Adult was outstanding. I wonder if that was a case of people feeling deceived by the marketing. I seem to remember it wasn't really let on just how dark it is.

Certainly possible. I know that if I go into a movie expecting it to be a certain way, and it's not, I'm often disappointed.

As for my contribution to the thread topic: Shes Out of my League. 6.3. It's hilarious.

I also enjoy that movie, Jay Barachal is good in everything he does.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

    Cocktail (5.8)

This is a movie I saw multiple times when I was a kid. It always seemed to be on TNT and USA. Kids these days have no idea what TNT and USA were like in the early to mid 90s. It was amazing. Billy Bob’s Monstervision remains a personal favorite period of TV history.

Anyways, as an adult I came across Cocktail and figured I would hate it. Nope. Love it. I am fully aware of how cheesy and lame some of the stuff is, but it’s just so perfectly 80s and vintage Cruise.

Watched it yesterday and it cracked me up how any American that traveled to Jamaica was obviously very wealthy.

Also Elizabeth Shue is a complete smokeshow in this movie.

Cloud Atlas was one of those movies that swung for the fences, and even tho they came up short you appreciated the effort. It was destroyed by a lotta critics tho, and I think it'll become a cult classic in time (if it isn't already). It was just so out of place. Not great, but underrated for sure.

Cloud Atlas has a 7.5 - which is way too high for this thread.

My B I remember it as one of the biggest ever flops because it was, didn't think it had rebounded that much. Humongous undertaking that failed spectacularly.

That it's currently at 7.5 at IMDB is wild.

That surprises me. I haven't watched it, partly because I want to read the book, but this makes me wonder if I should.

I know everyone loves this movie but I feel The Princess Bride is underrated. Technically I think it's a better movie than people give it credit for. From the casting to the writing to the acting to the direction to the special effects everything's top notch.

Florida Project may not be underrated, but it's definitely underhyped. What a creative, original, moving film. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed all 5 of the Paranormal Activity movies.

I couldn't stop laughing during the first one. Great comedy.

It may not be an objectively good movie, but I still love it.
