#600 - Every once in a while Griffey looks like 'The Kid'...that was one of those moments.

I'm waiting for #610 (5 more) which will put him ahead of Sammy Sosa forever. I think he has a chance to catch Willie Mays (660) before he hangs them up, but I'm guessing he'll have to go the DH route if he wants to go that far. I had the privilege of seeing Aaron hit #714 off Billingham, and Griffey's #600 was a like a smaller version of that, but for one of our own.

I really hope Griffey can stay around in a DH role somewhere and get to 661. Rodriguez is going to blow through many on the list, if not reach #1, and I think it would be tremendous if Griffey could stay in the top 5. While his career numbers will always be diminished by the injuries, having a long period of baseball history with Griffey as one of the top 5 homerun hitters ever.
