When the announcement was made that AC was going back to the closer role in lieu of starting, it officially became the worst move Walt has made...not that he has a lot of competition. 3 years @18 mil for a middling setup man.

One wonders the conversations that took place in the Reds' FO this off-season to which we're not privy..
It's not a terrible move. Broxton is a very usable pitcher. He's not a disaster. The money is high but he's not massively paid and he's not useless.

    Hope he picks it up.

I'm really surprised how many people are believing that over 300 pound listing. No way he's over that. I'm heavier looking than Broxton is and I'm under 270. He's only 1 inch taller than me. No chance he's 300.

LOL. Cyborg at work yet again. There's simply no other explanation. No mere human can hit this well. Just not possible.

    If he's 6-4, as listed, there's no way he's NOT 300+
Rounding third and heading for home...

Broxton basically hit the lotto because the Reds had an idea of trying Chapman out as a starter. Now here we are with Chapman still in the bullpen. That was one expensive idea. My goodness.

The Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Angels, etc. can afford a few mistakes like this where money is basically flushed down the drain, but a organization like the Reds can ill afford to have too many misses like this.

Nope. Not buyin' it. Baggy uni makes him look MUCH heavier than he is. He looked a BUNCH heavier last year.

But anyway, no big deal. Let's add on a few here!
