Syracuse defeated Durham this afternoon 11-0. The Chiefs DH, Robert Aubrey, was 4-4... four home runs and seven RBI! Not a bad day.

    Taken from sundeck...

Reds optioned RHP Mike Leake to Triple-A Louisville.
He was sent down to make room for Jose Arredondo on the active roster. Leake was removed from the rotation earlier this month and struggled in the bullpen, so he's better off starting every fifth day in the minor leagues.

So who goes out of the rotation when Leake goes in at Louisville?

Who moved into the rotation when Homer came back to Cinti? Whoever that was would be my guess to move out.

Mesoraco just hit a ROCKET out for a 3 run home run in the 1st and it ups the lead to 4-0 for the Bats.

Yeah, Ramon doesn't seem like he's ready to be moved out. Great situation for the ballclub.

Cochran has really been the ace of the Bats staff. I'd guess Carroll will go to Carolina.

But they also might put Dontrelle back in the pen.

L'ville just put up a 4 spot in the 5th.

Francisco & Frazier single, Hermida walked, Dorn & Cleven doubled. 8-2 now.

    Cozart 2 for 4
    Valaika 2 for 3
    Francisco 2 for 3
    Dorn 2 for 3
Frazier & Mesoraco both 1 for 3 (Mes' hit was a 3 run bomb)

    Willis pitching. 6 hits, 1 earned run, 1 bb, 2 k's, 5.1 innings

Wow, didn't realize his numbers were that good. That'll make it a hard decision for the Reds, then.

But has there been any report on Hanigan after he was hit on the hand or wrist Friday night and left the game? Looked like he was hurtin'.

Dayton won 7-2. Another good start for Josh Smith (1.91 ERA).

A six-run fourth was highlighted by a bases-loaded triple from Duran, followed by an inside-the-park HR by Devin Lohman.

All reports are saying he's fine. He caught Cueto in between innings a bit today.
