Holy smokes, Dayton scored 7 in the top of the ninth to go ahead 9-7. Blaine Howell, who has been excellent, nailed it down for the victory.

Ismael Guillon is pitching for the AZL Reds tonight in their semifinal-round playoff game. The Reds didn't score in the top of the first.

Ronald Torreyes drove in Juan Silva, who had tripled, and the AZL Reds lead 1-0 after three.

This time, Torreyes, with a double, drove in Jaren Matthews, who is 2 for 2. It's 2-0, AZL Reds, in the top of the fifth.

Guillon has 8 K in four innings.

The right fielder for the AZL Giants has a pretty fair name: Sundrendy Windster.

Guillon's line so far: 5IP 3H 0R 2BB 8K. Torreyes 2-3. He lined out to the first baseman his first time up. AZL Reds lead 2-zip after 5.

Notable note about the matchup tonight in the AZL game. The Giants' starter is 23 years old. Guillon is 18.

Torreyes, meanwhile--whose run-scoring hits have both come with two outs--has two days left at 17.
