Let's root for a Castanzo HR (face it, he won't be around long), award him with the HR ball and a 12 pack of razors (get him through the weekend) and wish him well.

4 runs should do it again....gotta get to Burnett's straight ball. He could strike out 14 or give up 15 base runners in 3 1/3 innings on 94 pitches

Other than Costanzo in there for Votto, I kinda like this lineup. Looking at this I think my everyday lineup would be:

    Cozart
    Bruce
    Votto
    Phillips
    Heisey
    Frazier
    Stubbs
    Hanigan
    Pitcher

I think it would be worth a try, couldn't hurt getting Bruce more fastballs to hit in from of Votto.

Jezuuuuz H Christ, why is Joey Votto not in the lineup today with an off day tomorrow?

Oops....take that back....can't have back to back lefties or the world will implode. 6 straight righties is fine though.

Doesn't this need to be posted on the game threads?

This needs to be drilled into people's heads.

Specifically, I'd like to drill it into Jocketty's.

Baker's head is already full of which guy hits the low and away pitch and Hank Aaron stories.

It's a good point - with as few off days as Votto gets, it would make more sense to give him an off-day in the middle of a stretch rather than in front of a day off. All the same, sometimes having two days off in a row is a good break.

Well I for one would like to win this damn series (I don't know about you and Duhhhsty). I sure like my chances better with Votto over anyone in the lineup.
