Who speaks spanish well? Ross Ismail interview

So the Reds signed Ross Ismail out of Aruba in November and he just turned 17 last month. While looking for some video online this afternoon I stumbled onto this interview with him.... but I understood these words from it because I speak about 15 words of spanish:
    Ross
    Ismail
    Baseball

Is anyone fluent enough to give us a rundown of what was said?

What I am picking up, his accent is something like I have never heard before, and I am almost fluent. I think in Aruba they speak dutch as a first language which is maybe why the accent is so different.

I will be going to Santigo Domingo for spring training, I need to long and hard to make. I will be leaving as soon as my visa is approved. Pretty generic interview, the other guys talked about how he is one of the best players to ever come out of Aruba.

Google "auto detected" spanish as the language in written articles that had the video embedded, but the translation was almost worthless as 85% of the words didn't actually translate. So you may be right that there is something else there instead of spanish.

I haven't watched the video, but I just want to throw a guess out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papiamento

I thought it was in Portuguese at first his accent is so heavy. In Aruba they speak 3 languages Dutch, English, and Spanish.

My buddy's first language is Spanish and he just listened to it. He couldn't understand it. He thought it was Portugese at first but has no idea what was said.

It's Papiamento. It's pretty much exclusive to Aruba but has a lot of similarities with Spanish.

You are going to learn it so we know what is going on, right?

Throw some good incentive my way, and I can make it happen. Otherwise lagami na paz.

I already have all the power in the world, so the last thing I need is knowledge.
